The Swiss Trio Ernest are quickly making a name for themselves, injecting youthful energy into new commissions and well known repertoire \u00bb <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gramophone<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>A Franco-Swiss ensemble founded in Geneva in 2019, Trio Ernest has emerged on the international scene thanks to its unique personality, and its modern, committed approach to classical music. After a first CD unanimously acclaimed by the press (Gramophone Editor&#8217;s Choice, Troph\u00e9e Radio Classique, 5 Diapasons), the year 2026 opens with the release of a new opus,  <\/span><em>The Wonderful Adventures of Amanda Maier<\/em><span>. Teaming up with nyckelharpist El\u00e9onore Billy, the trio brings Romantic and traditional music together to (re)discover one of the great geniuses of the 19th century. This tribute has already been acclaimed by the critics: CD of the week ABC Classic (Australia) and Klara (Belgium), Editor&#8217;s Choice and 5 stars AllMusic, the album appears in the weekly selection of Lib\u00e9ration and on numerous international media (Portugal, Austria, Germany, etc.). <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This strong identity opens the doors to major international stages, from Geneva&#8217;s Victoria Hall to the Shanghai Oriental Art Center, Paris&#8217; Salle Cortot, Brussels&#8217; Bozar, Vienna&#8217;s Schoenberg Center, Cremona&#8217;s Museo del Violino and Budapest&#8217;s Franz Liszt Academy. They are also guests at renowned festivals such as the Flanders Festival Ghent, the Swiss Chamber Music Festival and the Festival Ravel. Keen on new encounters, they collaborate with artists such as Oph\u00e9lie Gaillard, Stephan MacLeod, Gabriel Pidoux, Vassilena Serafimova, the Orchestre de l&#8217;Op\u00e9ra de Rouen, the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie and the Juventutti Orchestra, as well as actress Dominique Reymond. Since 2021, the trio has been responsible for the artistic direction of the season.  <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bee Classical!<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  in Geneva, where he can freely develop his artistic universe.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Particularly committed to the cause of women composers past and present, the three musicians<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ne<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">s program a piece composed by a woman for each of their concerts. In line with this approach, they received the Christian Zeller Award for their interpretation of  <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trio<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  and participate in the Bo\u00eete \u00e0 P\u00e9pites. Wishing to contribute to the dynamism of their repertoire, they create the trios<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  by Carlos Roque Alsina and Matteo Gualandi, and are responsible for many of the band&#8217;s arrangements. Last but not least, as they are sensitive to ecological issues, they make their journeys within Europe without taking a plane, in order to limit the impact of their profession on the climate. In its own way, the trio is committed to music that may be classical, but is above all alive and connected to the challenges of the 21st century. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An alumnus of the European Chamber Music Academy, he has won numerous international prizes, including the Prix Pro Musicis (Paris), first prize in the Verao Classico Chamber Music Award (Lisbon), the Orpheus Competition (Zurich), and the Chamber Music Award of the ISA Festival (Vienna). Winners of the Acad\u00e9mie Villecroze, the trio holds a Master&#8217;s degree from the Hochschule der K\u00fcnste Bern in Patrick J\u00fcdt&#8217;s class.
